STAR Management Cindy Gilbert

Cindy joined the staff of the NW Regional Key in June of 2005 as STARS Manager for providers in Erie, Crawford and Mercer counties.  She was a former family daycare provider who returned to college as an adult to obtain her BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, graduating with her eldest daughter.  She continued her education at Edinboro University, working in the Kindergarten and preschool programs of Miller School while obtaining a master’s degree in Special Education.  Cindy was also a preschool teacher and director of a NAEYC accredited preschool program, prior to joining the Key.

Currently working as STARS Supervisor, Cindy’s caseload includes the very capable and knowledgeable childcare center providers in Erie County.  Cindy also teaches professional development and is responsible for variety other STARS related tasks.

Cindy and her husband reside in Edinboro.  She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends, especially valuing the time spent with grandchildren.
