Keystone STARS Grant Information!!

Grant Request forms are now available!

Grant updates include:

v Eligibility is based on enrolled child care children who receive subsidy or have an IEP/IFSP.

v Eligibility is calculated using one week in March or September of the past year, whichever is most recent.

v Providers must attest that they are not delinquent in state or federal tax obligations.

v Grant funds may be used only for child care related expenses. If the provider receives funding from other sources, such as Head Start and Pre-K counts, and wishes to use award funds for facility-wide purchases, the expenditures must be cost allocated.

v Funds may not be used for basic operating costs, to pay mortgage/rent, to purchase vehicles, for any kind of staff entertainment or recognition, for membership in civic, community, and social organizations.

v It is strongly recommended that providers analyze their technology and use funds to develop or enhance computer or internet access.

***Please be aware that, although we are accepting grant applications, funding will not be available until after the state budget has been passed. Amounts may vary depending on the signed budget.
